Service Description
Dobutamine Stress Echo testing is a diagnostic test to determine the functioning of the heart under stress. An IV will be started and a medication called Dobutamine will be used to raise your heart rate. The medical staff will perform echocardiogram images and the cardiologist will monitor your heart rate and ekg changes. It is mainly done to detect the cause of chest pain, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, or fluttering in the chest.
